President Lincoln said, “The people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the constitution.” He understood the ability of the courts to become what they ought not to be. The recent ruling by one man in a black robe concerning the 2004 vote of the people in defense of marriage is one example where a progressive judge has exerted powers beyond his scope. It blurs the lines between the three branches of government and the people’s vote.
We’ve seen more and more of this is recent times. Some people wonder why we even bother to vote if a single person can overrule the constitutional changes they have voted on. The fact is, the constitution is the supreme law of the land, not the judiciary. We’ve had judges use foreign law, like Sharia law, that caused U.S. citizens to lose their constitutional rights. Progressive judges need to be reigned back to prevent more of this from happening.
It was Adams that said “our constitution is only adequate for a moral people.” The problem becomes that many have redefined morality. For over 200 years we have recognized what that meant and our laws were based on that knowledge. We have only to look back into history to see what the results will be for our future, which looks very similar to the Greek and Roman collapse. Einstein’s definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
In short, the checks and balances must be kept in place or we have tyranny by a judicial oligarchy. “The most important moral, political, and cultural decisions affecting our lives are steadily being removed from democratic control.” (Robert Bork.) “Day by day, case by case, [the court] is busy designing a Constitution for a country I do not recognize.” (Justice Antonin Scalia.) Judges are now a convenient way to get results that the democratic process will not give.
I see a country being ruined by President Obama fiscally, morally, constitutionally, and militarily. I see our enemies rearming their military and us disarming ours. I see our constitution being ruined by “czars” and Obama abusing his executive authority in order to make law. I see our money being printed to pay debt from excessive spending. I see our kids being taught immorality by Hollywood, the media, and our schools. More than ever we need men and women of integrity holding political office, who cannot be bought, to represent us and prevent our destruction. Please consider how your politicians vote, not just their likability.

The Fourth Anniversary of a Train Wreck
Last weekend was the fourth anniversary of the enactment of the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” otherwise known as ObamaCare. However, democrats were conspicuous by their silence on this anniversary, unless they occupied very safe seats.
Nor is that any particular surprise. State-based ObamaCare Exchanges are underperforming and facing GAO audits. Insurance industry experts are expecting premiums to triple over the next two years. Labor unions are considering authorizing strikes because their health plans have been jeopardized. Medicare Advantage payments are being drastically scaled back. The President routinely abuses his executive authority to unilaterally rewrite the law. And it is only going to get messier going forward.
President Obama promised that if you liked your insurance plan, you could keep it. He promised that if you liked your doctor, you could keep him. He promised that he would reform and strengthen Medicare. This law was sold on a series of lies, and we’re still finding out what’s in it. Main Street Americans are hurting because of this law, and now no serious observer believes that the Democrats can take back the House, and will probably also lose the Senate.
