“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas A. Edison

George Orwell had it right: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is revolutionary.” The efforts of liberal Hollywood, a liberal press, and liberal academia have rendered truth as some type of phobia. Honest discourse (freedom of speech) is no longer allowed, and weak-kneed politicians fold under the fear of being ridiculed for standing on principle. Pick your candidates wisely. Integrity means doing the right thing even when it hurts you personally – few posses this quality. We need more men and women that possess it.

Elections are primarily won on emotions, not reason. Personally I am moved by facts; however, the low information voter that the democrats appeal to, votes on the emotions of hope and fear, with fear being the stronger. Obama won his first election on “hope and change,” his second on fear. Fear that the Republicans were waging war on women, not caring about minorities, and inflicting pain on the working class – all a lie, but effective.

We are in a place that should place fear into every voter concerning the democrat leadership, loss of freedoms, and mandated healthcare that costs more. Medicare hurts the elderly most under ObamaCare. The youth are forced to buy what they don’t want or need. More people have gotten on to Medicaid (poor people’s health insurance) than ObamaCare, and we all pay for that. Medicaid patients will have their assets taken from their estate when they die – a back door tax increase on the poor. Illegal aliens are taking jobs from US citizens but, are excluded from paying for […]

President Lincoln said, “The people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the constitution.” He understood the ability of the courts to become what they ought not to be. The recent ruling by one man in a black robe concerning the 2004 vote of the people in defense of marriage is one example where a progressive judge has exerted powers beyond his scope. It blurs the lines between the three branches of government and the people’s vote.

We’ve seen more and more of this is recent times. Some people wonder why we even bother to vote if a single person can overrule the constitutional changes they have voted on. The fact is, the constitution is the supreme law of the land, not the judiciary. We’ve had judges use foreign law, like Sharia law, that caused U.S. citizens to lose their constitutional rights. Progressive judges need to be reigned back to prevent more of this from happening.

It was Adams that said “our constitution is only adequate for a moral people.” The problem becomes that many have redefined morality. For over 200 years we have recognized what that meant and our laws were based on that knowledge. We have only to look back into history to see what the results will be for our future, which looks very similar to the Greek and Roman collapse. Einstein’s definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

In short, the checks and balances must be kept in place or we have tyranny by a judicial oligarchy. “The most important moral, political, and cultural decisions affecting our lives are steadily being […]

March is Women’s History Month, which gives us all the opportunity to celebrate women’s contributions to our country throughout our history. The Republican Party played a leading role in securing women’s right to vote. When Susan B. Anthony defied the law and voted in 1872, she proudly voted the Republican ticket. She and other suffragists worked with her friend, Republican Senator A.A. Sargent, to introduce the 19th Amendment, and it took a Republican Congress to finally pass it in 1919.

Republican women have a history of being trailblazers, breaking ground and glass ceilings – from Margaret Chase Smith (the first woman to be elected to both the House and the Senate), to Sarah Palin (our 2008 vice-presidential nominee), to Susana Martinez of New Mexico (the nation’s first Latina governor), and Nikki Haley of South Carolina (the country’s youngest sitting governor). Republicans continue to offer a positive agenda for America’s women, as we work to create more job opportunities, lighten the tax burden, and reduce the cost of healthcare. Our policy goals are driven by the desire to do what’s best for women – not by scoring cynical political points.

Over and over President Obama told Americans that if they like their doctors, they could keep their doctors. Yet, in a WebMD interview last week, Obama said, “They might end up having to switch doctors.” This follows the administration’s earlier admission that Americans wouldn’t necessarily be able to keep insurance plans they liked. Once again, Democrats are admitting that ObamaCare was sold on a lie. They promised Americans who liked their plans and doctors that they wouldn’t lose them. Not only does the administration regularly and unilaterally re-write the law, they repeatedly take back their promises of what […]

Even in spite of this administration’s current efforts to reduce our military to pre-World War II levels, we still have the best technology and the best warriors in the world. What is so different about this plane is the fact that it is a ‘drone.’ Yes, it is completely unmanned. Drones come in all sizes, and the X-47B is likely one of the larger ones. What is so ironic about all of this is the fact that the enemy cannot detect a plane like this in the first place. In the unlikely event they get lucky at shooting one down, there will be neither loss of human life nor captivity. As you view the flight deck crew signaling the plane, they are simply signaling the on-board cameras, which in turn are being watched by staff inside the Command Intelligence Center (CIC) on board the ship.

Pilots are becoming extinct via technology in some scenarios, but not every scenario, as we will always need actual people that can make command decisions on the spot as the battle changes. This is because the computer hasn’t yet been built that can replicate the human ability to simply think. On the ideological battlefield, we need all of you to be those eyes and ears and brains, so that we can make good decisions about the direction of our party as our political battle continues. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)

In the last newsletter I gave the recent rule changes and resolutions adopted at the RNC winter meeting. Since that newsletter, Ronna Romney McDaniel was elected as our new National Committeewoman at the State Committee meeting back on February 15th. Congratulations, Ronna, and welcome to the RNC; I’m looking forward to serving with you over the next two years.

GREAT numbers of people (225,000 and counting) are losing their health insurance in Michigan due to ObamaCare. Most pay more for less under this fiasco. This is a huge wedge issue that even democrats are running from.

Our party’s values and platform are far superior to the democrats. If we stay on platform and stay on message, we will win every time. If you don’t know what they are, then read them so we are all on the same page. (I have been surprised by how many people don’t know what they are.) There’s a reason that I pushed for the passage of my Core Values Resolution at an earlier RNC meeting.

We must win by working with people who SUPPORT our platform and values. A house divided cannot stand, but in honest unity all things are possible. We need unity not just within the GOP, but with the Republican Women’s Federation, the Tea Party, the Campaign for Liberty, the College Republicans, iCaucus, veterans’ organizations, etc., because we need them to win. Without their […]
